11 points. Injuries are mounting. Have to hope two of Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool get less than that....

Although none of Liverpool's games are against other teams trying for a CL/European slot, this also means that they have no opportunity to "take points" off any such opponents.
Yes! They have no six-pointers.

I don't think I've ever bothered looking at the top of table this late on in the season, but doe's anyone know what is PAR to get you in the Champions League points wise?
I said to my scouser supporting MATE a few weeks ago that I thought we'd have to finish above them to get into Europe. It now might be a case of we'd have to finish above them to get into the Champions League.

Well done Troy. Much better than the “let’s not get ahead of ourselves “ thread.
There is also the intellectual “Champions League here we come” thread.
Seriously I was looking at the different run ins and we have one of the best, I think only Liverpool have it easier. IF (big if that) we can get ahead of Leicester, who have a much harder last 7 games, we may still get Champions even if Liverpool get ahead of us.

LT, last 6 seasons have ranged from 66-76 points for 4th place, averaging at 71.
I reckon it'll be 69-71 this season.

Bearing in mind some of the irregularities of this season, nothing is easy to predict. Liverpool lost 6 at home on the spin for the 1st time in their history and WBA travelled yo andput 5 past Chelsea only last week.
Therefore, comparing run ins is a waste of time.

Dunno about easy run in, lot of our games are against teams that are fighting for their survival in the league. It’d be much better to be playing 10th or 12th placed sides who are just thinking of the seasons end.

I don't think that it's the fixtures that are the problem.
The key to our success this season has been a most unlike West Ham lack of serious injuries and when we've had key players injured they've been replaced by players who have stepped up.
I thought it might be all over when Ogg (player of the season up to then for me) got injured but Diop stood up and although not as good as Ogg, did a job. I'm sure if Ogbonna was in the side now we wouldn't be so panicked trying to hold on to a 3 goal lead. Hoofing it up the pitch to nobody but the opposition is like watching an Allardyce team.
Now we've lost Creswell it's either Johnson or (God forbid) Arfer at left-back, who replaces Noble who replaced Rice? The entire spine of the team and most of their backups are injured so the old curse has returned to bite us in the most cruel way.
I hope to fuck we get some bodies back quick or its all over.

Billy - Not sure about that, I mean surely you would rather play teams at the bottom than at the top? We have played Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool recently and lost all of them?
What can be a factor is playing teams who, for all intent and purposes, have nowt left to play for, and it looks like we will have a few of them. That said, those types of games are no longer a pushover they once were, which it how it should be too.

Thanks. 5 wins is still along way to go.
At least 2 wins from the next 4 games, and that's the time to get REALLY excited. We should be looking at 9 points from the those last 3 games this season or any other season.
